Balogh Bökény (HU) - FÉNY - TÉR KONTINUUM
Bökény Balogh is a 22-year-old Media Design student at MOME. His work explores the relationship between interactive spaces, light, moving image and technology, with interests ranging from robotics and site-specific installations to audiovisual art. In 2026, he presented an interactive light installation at the Irregulari Light–Sound and Space Festival, had a projection mapping work featured in the programme of OFFF Barcelona, and took part in a collaborative projection mapping animation at the Pécs Light Festival.
The installation is based on the active experience of space: visitors do not simply pass through it, but shape its spatial and lighting conditions. The polycarbonate wall system extends from the ceiling’s grid structure, while its doors function both as passageways and switches, altering the path of light and the relationships within the space.
Translucent layers, optical distortions and silhouettes appearing across the polycarbonate surfaces build up the visual and spatial experience. The installation is brought to life by the visitors’ presence, movement and interaction with the panels.
