Chantale Matar (UK) – Crimson Currents

Chantale Matar is a Lebanese-British architectural designer, generative artist and educator working between AI, immersive media and architecture. As the founder of Studio Chantal Matar Ltd., she creates atmospheric digital worlds that move between space, landscape and moving image. Formerly a Lead Architectural Designer at ZHA, her work has been presented at the Venice Biennale and in Paris, Berlin, Chicago, Tokyo and London. Crimson Currents transforms fluid crimson structures into a monumental architectural environment. The shifting wave moves between sculpture, landscape and performance, dissolving the boundaries between structure and motion. For INOTA, the work is adapted as one continuous video composition across the main projection surface and the ceiling of the Theatre Hall, turning the projection into an immersive spatial experience.
