Taroudant is a kinetic spatial installation exploring the shifting boundary between the visible and the invisible through slow, meditative movement. A vertically driven harmonic oscillation sets sand grains into gradual inward and outward motion, continuously generating subtle and evolving patterns. The perception of the work is never fixed. Its meaning and intensity depend on the viewer’s time, attention, and presence. Hidden beneath a dark textile surface, the mechanical “heart” of the installation remains invisible, while sand, light, and vibration transform the space into a quietly pulsating, almost organic body. Emma Forgách is a Budapest-based multimedia and media design artist whose work focuses on the relationship between space, light, material, and motion through experimental installations and site-specific interventions. Taroudant was previously presented at the Kőbánya Underground Light, Sound and Space Festival.
