Gergely Kiss (HU) – Crystal Bloom
Gergely Kiss is an industrial designer and creator whose work is shaped by technology, functionality and spatial design. He builds strong, structured installations that respond to the physical presence and technical character of their environment. In his practice, spectacle is not decorative but spatial: an atmosphere constructed from light, material and structure that directly transforms the viewer's experience of a site.
Crystal Bloom is an outdoor industrial light installation that turns the idea of power and raw energy into a physical presence. Inspired by the hidden brutalist history of the Inota Power Plant, the work moves away from abstract symbolism and focuses instead on the immediate, visceral impact of light in space. The monolithic elements appear as unwavering structures designed to harvest energy from an unknown origin, while crystal-like light formations spread through their surroundings. The installation slowly transforms the site into an immersive, otherworldly and toxic landscape.
