Bordos László Zsolt - Vertikum

VISUAL

László Zsolt Bordos has been working in video mapping and 3D graphics for over two decades. His architectural projections have been showcased in more than 40 countries, and he has participated in numerous exhibitions and festivals, including Mapping Festival Geneva, Signal Prague, Glow Eindhoven, Lux Helsinki, Adelaide Festival of Arts, Now or Never Melbourne, Ars Electronica Linz, and the Barbican in London. In 2019, his object mapping installation UMBRA TRIPLICATA became part of the permanent collection at ZKM | Center for Art and Media in Karlsruhe. In addition to his artistic work, he has launched several organizational and educational programs, which are currently his main focus.

Bordos' new 3D mapping piece VERTIKUM breathes new life into the monumental industrial spaces of the Inota power plant through a mystical and captivating visual narrative. The work serves as a kind of "visual meditation" on the relationship between humans, space, and transcendence. Its title alludes to an upward movement - one that reaches beyond the physical realm and opens toward spiritual dimensions.

Through the motif of verticality, Bordos traces an ascending path that rises from the ruins of industry into a realm of light and abstraction. Throughout the projection, geometric shapes, organic textures, and beams of light blend into one another, creating the impression that the building itself is transforming into an immaterial object.
