CANVAS
For a painter, the canvas is not only a physical material, but a creative space embedded by the frame. While the painter works in two dimensions, the time that encompasses the process, with layers of paint applied one over the other and shapes evolving according to endless human imagination, like a third dimension it gives way to infinite variations of capturing a moment. Each brushstroke becomes a mark of that particular segment in time, unique and unrepeatable.
This thought is captured by the interactive installation "CANVAS”; a holographic canvas, a two-dimensional plane encompassed by a frame, essentially a creative space that only becomes unified in the viewer’s eyes. By touching the canvas, we shape the creation of generative graphics in an infinite play of human unpredictability and a constantly self-renewing algorithm.
